HELLO 2024 // Happy New Year!

We Have Officially Entered 2024!

WOW — what a year!

If I could describe 2023 in a nutshell, it would definitely be this — ‘God has been good.’ There is simply no other way to put it. I am so thankful to serve a God who listens, gives, and moves mountains.

One of the biggest blessings from 2023 was closing on our home. God knew the desires of our hearts and He opened doors for us, of course that came with lots of prayer and guidance, but it also comes to show that waiting on the Lord brings great blessings. Initially, after getting married in June of 2022 we rented a studio. We only planned on being there a year in hopes that we would find a home. Once we entered 2023, we knew we had to get down to business and really pray about it. Soon enough, after only a few months God placed our wonderful realtor before our eyes and she helped us from day 1. Everything fell into place after touring a few homes and making a few phone calls, it’s like God had it all mapped out for us. So May of 2023, before our leased expired, we closed on our home. We can’t wait for all of the beautiful memories we will create in our new home!

In October of 2023, my husband also got in a car accident, thank goodness nothing major happened but my car ended up getting totaled. We never switch cars but for some reason that morning before heading to work, my husband decided to take mine. All things work for the better and I know God had something bigger in store for us. I drove a Toyota Corolla ‘08 and it was the car I had gotten right after high school, I had paid it off and it had many years of lifetime ahead. Of course we were confused and dreading the idea of having a car note since my husband’s car had also been paid off years ago. But yet we knew God had a purpose and He was gonna provide no matter the circumstances — we knew He was going to bless us once again. Previously, we had talked about getting a bigger car since we both owned smaller cars and when the time would come of building a family of our own, we would need a bigger vehicle. But for the moment we wanted to wait before making a purchase. Well God had other plans for us and He blessed us with something bigger and better, something we were exactly looking for.

When I tell you God makes a way, He does — and He leaves me speechless. EVERY. SINGLE, TIME.

Needless to say, I CANNOT WAIT to see what He has in store for us this New Year!

For NYE, we spent the night at our special New Year’s church service like we do every year and I’m so thankful that we do. We get to thank God for all the wonderful things He has done, all of the highs and all of the lows, all of the winning battles as well as all of the losses. Through it all He has carried us through. We also take a moment to present before God all of our new plans, goals, and desires for the new year and there’s no better way than to start the New Year at the feet of Jesus.

Here’s a list of my 2024 Resolutions:

Have you made your 2023 Resolutions List? If not, that is okay! It’s never too late to start!

Can we also take a moment to appreciate our New Year’s Eve outfits?! *all the heart eyes

Last year I chose to go with the black sequin NY theme but this year I wanted something lighter. I found this beautiful dress from ASOS for under $50 and it was such a steal! It is a satin material maxi dress so that makes it look expensive and high end. I also paired it with my favorite bow heels from Amazon, I will never get over these!

Our outfits are linked to my LTK profile!
